If this is your first time here, we would like to extend a warm welcome to you. If you've been here before, we want to warmly welcome you, too.

As a brief introduction to who we are and what we want to do, we've described Revolve21 as "a theocentric 21st century approach to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and media." In practice, this means that we are committed to providing Biblical truth through the internet. We also aim to provide you with an online community to bounce ideas off of and put to practice Biblical truth, as well as providing resources for living in the world without being caught up in the patterns of the world through reviews of various media (film, music, and gaming).

The Latest Revolve21 Site News

Friends,

It's my sad duty to inform you all that Revolve21 will officially be shutting its doors. This is effective immediately. All of the sites will remain online until webhosts decide to drop them, but they will not be receiving any more official support.

In simplest terms, the requirements to keep the site running are simply too high for our staff to meet on top of the rest of their busy lives.

It's been a good run.

May God bless your lives and ministry pursuits to come.

...Good day, folks. I'd like to apologize up front for missing last week's update. I got really busy with school and life in general, then realized too late that I forgot to write a new theology blog post. It's a little late in the evening, but I didn't completely forget this week.

As I've mentioned a few times, I really prefer writing blog posts that revolve around a given passage of the Bible and simply expound on it. But there are times when there is a given topic that I think is worth discussing here as a theological post since it is tied to Christian beliefs even if it is not wholly bibliocentric. Today's post is of that kind...

...With The Open Door EP, Death Cab adds one more to an already impressive collection of EPs (5 total), this one consisting of songs that didn’t match the overall feel of their latest studio album, Narrow Stairs. It’s short, containing 16 minutes of material total, but each song is an individual pleasure that holds strongly to the charming wit so often synonymous with Death Cab for Cutie.

The band lets their guns blaze right from the get-go with Little Bribes. It’s an irresistible, catchy, foot-tapping pop piece that immediately reminded me of The Sound of Settling from “Transatlanticism” and Crooked Teeth off of “Plans.” And though the music is more upbeat and pop-ish than normally associated with the band, the lyrics are wholly Gibbard, describing in poetic detail the glamor, yet ultimate emptiness, of Las Vegas: “You said this city has a beating heart/that pushes people down the boulevard/they’re all hoping for a wish fulfilled/in a desert for a dollar bill”...

Who We Are

If you're thinking about spending some time with us here on Revolve21, it seems fair that you would want to know a little bit about us.

At the core, Revolve21 exists to compel people to truly seek an intimate relationship with God, fall down in worship to Him, help others do likewise, and provide mutual support for others, all while living in the mainstream world without being corrupted by it.

Revolve21 understands that with the technological advances of the 21st century, completely new means of connecting people with God, and with others, on a significant level have become available but are largely untapped. Using internet technologies to connect users with a variety of frequently added Biblical teachings and worship tools, users will be able to tailor their experiences to the things that match their spiritual maturity and preference of expression in order to gain the most intimate connection with God possible. Through forums, chats, and blogs, users will be able to learn from, and grow with, each other, building their relationships with God at the same time. Through reviews of various media (film, gaming, and music) that take into consideration the most significant elements of a production (artistic, technical, and moral), users will know what media is worthy of their time and money in our carefully graded and balanced reports.

As with most things in life, Revolve21 is still a work in progress. There are things in our vision that we are not yet able to do. In time, those will happen once we have the understanding and manpower to make them happen well.
